New Realities: The XR Podcast – Episode 12 Ars Electronica Edition: Sensing Extended Realities

New Realities is a joint podcast project of 1E9 and the XR HUB Bavaria in which we present new realities – i.e. projects, ideas, concepts and products in virtual, augmented and mixed reality. Or in short: in Extended Reality.
And because we are currently experiencing a completely different kind of “new reality” with the Corona Crisis, the first episodes of this podcast will focus on how we can use XR technologies to better deal with curfews and contact bans.

You can listen and subscribe to the podcast at PodigeeSpotifyDeezer und bei Apple Music.

Folge 12: Ars Electronica Edition: Sensing Extended Realities

Listening time: 36 minutes

For this episode of our podcast we’ll switch to English, because we are talking about two projects that will be part of a truly international festival: of Ars Electronica, happening right now in Linz.

The guests of this episodes are three students who were parts of teams that created two artworks called STORIES OF AN INSTANT and TRACK_48N10E: Adrian Ludwig from the University of Applied Sciences Augsburg, Cynthia Ng from the Technical University of Munich, and Lucas Fellner from the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich.

They all worked on a research creation project initiated by the three universities and the XR HUB Bavaria during the last semester. The topic was: SENSING EXTENDED REALITIES. Adrian, Cynthia and Lucas tell us what they’ve made of it, how the Covid 19 pandemic has influenced their work and what you will ultimately see and hear is when you check out their artworks.

If you want to know more about the whole project SENSING EXTENDED REALITIES, you will find information here:

You can get the Experience STORIES OF AN INSTANT from Cynthia, Lucas and their team here:
